PM Modi has keen sight on the staled projects, Once in a month step in to get status

He is not the magician neither he has super powers that can take India at peak in his 2nd year of government but what will take India to peak he is setting the ground for that. He is real fighter, hardworking person being the head of the country he could spend his time as other head has done, but no he is fully devoted towards his work and know his responsibility very well.

There are so many criticism he face day by day but he does not give priority to those unfortunate things. Politicians have this element attached to there life, but Modi being a politician is the man that India has get after 60 years. Big names like: "Sardar Patel", "Subhash Chandra Bose", "Chandra Shekhar Azad", "Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar", "Mahatma Gandhi", "Bhagat Singh", "Ashafula Khan" all these are the great revolutionaries who have deveoted there life completely for the Indian freedom and development. The purpose of writing this article is to figure out some of the efforts done by modi ji to improve the working of the government as compare to other government.

Coming back to the topic of the article India has so much wealth but even though India is not developed only because of corruption and lack of will to do work. Every Year so many big projects are announced but the announcement remain as it is work never happens those project are called as stalled project in which around $80 Billion and more wealth is blocked to start these projects but all those project goes in queue and the contractors and ministers enjoy there life on the money passed for these project and ultimately the project budget get deficient and more investment needed for staled projects to start.

But, now it will not happen Modi ji every month is doing meeting with the officials and asking them questions of not starting the projects. This has made serious tension among the project contractors as they are answerable now in Narendra Modi government. He asks for the reports of the money wasted in stalled projects. Narendra Modi is personally taking on India's notorious red tape to clear tens of billions of dollars worth of stalled public projects, hoping that his hands-on intervention can bend a vast, dysfunctional bureaucracy.

His intervention from march till year has helped India to retrieve $60 billion of wealth from the stalled projects from central and state projects.Modi has won plaudits for the initiative that has chipped away at a $150 billion backlog of planned roads, ports, railways, power stations and other projects. But equally, critics say, the fact he needs to personally intervene shows the level of government inertia in Asia's third-biggest economy.

His initiative to cut down red tape and do ease of business help India in getting the soft loan from Japan of around $15 Billion for running the bullet train.

"It is a systemic problem that the Prime Minister needs to work on," said Arun Maira, a management consultant and member of the previous Congress government.

The initiative, launched by Modi in March and publicised on his personal website and Twitter feed, is called pro-active governance and timely implementation, or Pragati, which means "progress" in the Hindi language.

Federal and state bureaucrats are linked by video to Modi's office for the meeting, usually held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. They are typically from the finance, law, land, environment, transport and energy ministries whose clearances are needed for many projects.

The agenda is set the previous week and usually has about a dozen stalled projects, public grievances and other governance issues.

A senior official who has attended said that when a project comes up for discussion, Modi turns to the representative of the ministry where it is being held up.

He simply asks, "Please tell me why it hasn't happened," the official said.

Several months into Pragati, the official said, a majority of the projects are cleared before they come up for discussion.

The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh state, Akhilesh Yadav, a political rival of Modi, wrote to the Prime Minister's office requesting the inclusion of a $1 billion metro rail project in the state capital at one Pragati meeting.

It got the clearances, including a pledge of central funding, at the September meeting.

"This is a welcome move which would go a long way in doing away with avoidable delays," said Alok Ranjan, the state's top bureaucrat.

His focus for developing buildings, roads, monuments should be shocked and earthquake proof so that the national loss could be minimize at the time of any hazard that took place. His presence of mind to tackle the situation clearly shows his vision to make India developed and stronger on international stage. Many countries has accepted the caliber of India and are coming to India for business. These are all effort of Modi government that has made the business easy and friendly in India. Only good Idea and skills are requires to take your project on ground.

India–Africa Summit: Terrorism, UNSC reform on Modi’s agenda

The India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS) is a celebration of the close partnership between Africa and India. It is an acknowledgement of our shared history as well as our future prospects. From our struggle against colonialism and apartheid, we have emerged to jointly accept the challenges of a globalizing world. Even as we combat with common threats - the threat from international terrorism; the scourge of poverty, disease, illiteracy and hunger; the challenge of climate change - and collectively promote the socio-economic advancement of all our people, we believe that India and Africa traverse the same path, share the same values and cherish the same dreams.

A vibrant India and a resurgent Africa have a vision of a close partnership. A partnership that is anchored in the principles of equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit. This vision takes us beyond our strong bilateral relationships, our close ties with regional economic communities and aims to develop a new paradigm of cooperation which takes into account Africa's own aspirations for pan-African institutions and development programmes.

The third edition of the four day IAFS summit which will take place during 26th-29th October 2015 enables consultations at the highest political level between the heads of government of 54 nations across Africa and the Indian government to give a new thrust to our age-old partnership. It provides an opportunity to not only reflect on the past, but to define the road ahead in tune with the times we live in.

From a rose garden to Gandhi's Africa connect, to Modi jackets, the Narendra Modi government has put in everything but the kitchen sink to ensure the Third India-Africa Forum Summit is the most successful multilateral event ever held in India.

With over 40 African heads of state and government confirming attendance, the event is being seen as India's most successful outreach ever to the resource-rich continent which has all major powers vying for influence. Given the time and attention he has spared for the summit, Modi is looking to use his personalised style of diplomacy to not just make the event memorable but to also prove that foreign policy remains his strong point despite recent reverses in the neighbourhood, most notably in Nepal.

The summit starts on Monday with a senior officials' meeting, foreign ministers meet the next day.

The main summit will take place on Thursday. Leaders will start touching down on Wednesday and have bilateral meetings with Modi the same day before going into the main summit on October 29. The main summit will comprise a plenary session and declarations.

The summit is taking place a month ahead of Africa's second such summit with China. Modi can be expected to come into his own in the company of top African leaders like Egypt's Abdel Fattah el-Sisi whom he persuaded to attend when he met him last month in New York.

Modi said Friday that India and Africa must speak in one voice on UNSC reforms. Egypt is a key member of the Uniting for Consensus group which blocks UNSC expansion.

Modi, who believes his own relationship with top leaders is as important as South Block's diplomatic skills, will host a dinner for the African leaders on Wednesday.

Many of them will join Modi wearing the waistcoat gifted to them that is now known as the Modi jacket.

The PM will gift the leaders Gandhi memorabilia picked up from iconic places in Gandhi's life.

India hope that Pakistan will deliver the promises made with US

The Modi government is hoping that the promises made by Pakistan in US will be delivered soon.

"We have also read assurances on terrorism by Pakistan. I hope they deliver," MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup said.

"Terrorism naturally comes to mind when talking about Pakistan. The US-Pak joint statement devotes much space to it," the MEA spokesperson added.

The external affairs ministry also said it was open to NSA-level talks as decided in Ufa.

The MEA statement comes a day after Pakistan Prime Minister Sharif committed to take "effective action against United Nations-designated terrorist individuals and entities, including Lashkar-e-Taiba and its affiliates, as per its international commitments and obligations.

The commitment, contained in a joint statement issued at the end of a meeting between US President Obama and Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif, came after Islamabad persuaded Washington to press India for talks, including on border tensions.

"We remain open to NSA-level talks (with Pak) as decided in Ufa," the MEA spokesperson said.

"Pak chooses to use terrorism as a instrument of state policy. India has always desired resolution of all issues bilaterally," the spokesperson said.

"It's Pak's internal matter who they appoint as their NSA, as far as we are concerned we are open to NSA level talks as decided in Ufa," the MEA said.

Chinese got fear with India fast growth rate

According to TOI news Chinese are doing all possible efforts to stop India to become the permanent member of UN. Recently a case has been raised where some Chinese officials are charged to give bribe to UN top officials. This is clear indication that china is in fear of India fast growth rate and being evolving as a super power nation in the world.

Narendra Modi leadership has made UN to rethink on refreshing the permanent membership list as India is one of the most strongest contestant among other nation in fight.

Narendra Modi ji speech in UN has leave the strong image of the country that is supporting peace, harmony and are new innovators. Modi ji vision to take world on same platform and policies of peace and harmony. Destroying terrorism is the main concern of PM Modi in UN. He has put his words with strong image in front of UN for pakistan that friendship is only possible when pakistan is going to leave these terrorist activities and will fight against terror with other countries. UN also support the words of Narendra Modi that terrorism is the main devil for the world peace policy.

Coming to the topic, arrest of former president of the UN General Assembly, John Ashe, on charges of bribery by the Chinese has vindicated India's suspicion that key top level officials in the UN system were being paid off to delay or scuttle the Security Council reform process, among other things.

Earlier this month, Ashe, former envoy from Antigua & Barbuda was charged by US attorney Preet Bharara for accepting a bribe of $1.3 million from Chinese businessmen and officials for support for a multi-billion dollar "south south" UN-sponsored conference centre in casino capital Macau. Bharara's complaint also stated that other Chinese nationals paid Ashe hundreds of thousands of dollars to facilitate their businesses in Antigua. While only some of the details of the bribery processes have been made public, they are enough to provide a clue to the methods China uses to influence UN processes.

For India, the more important part of the corruption charges against Ashe is the claim that the former GA president was reportedly paid to further Chinese interests. A part of this, they believe, has to do with influencing the progress of UN Security Council reform which China has steadfastly opposed. As president of UNGA between 2013-2014, Ashe started out by setting up an advisory body which drafted a 'non-paper' on the negotiations for UNSC reform. This, Indian officials say, was a simplified version of the 300-page draft negotiation document that was agreed to later in September 2015.

According to news reports on the Ashe case, Manhattan US attorney Preet Bharara, who announced the arrests of Ashe and the other defendants, said the investigation could result in more charges as authorities examine whether "corruption is business as usual at the United Nations." "If proven, today's charges will confirm that the cancer of corruption that plagues too many local and state governments infects the United Nations as well," Bharara said. Ashe, says the complaint, received more than $800,000 from Chinese businessmen to support their interests within the UN and Antigua,

Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN was quoted as saying, UN secretary general Ban ki Moon "was shocked and deeply troubled to learn of the allegations, which go to the heart of the integrity of the UN," Dujarric said. "Corruption is not business as usual at the UN."

If China continues this type of activities indirectly India position in UN and on World stage going to be stronger. Many countries around the world are very much interested in investing there principle in India as we are the fastest growing countries as compare to the other developed and developing countries. All this comes true because of the initiative taken by the India Prime Minister that has catch the attention of the many investors for India. Japan,Russia,Australia,USA and UK are the key investors that are looking to spread there business in India as India is rich in cheap resource but quality product.

Government distribute 2 crore of LED bulbs, saves 1,000 crore a year

The Narendra Modi government's program to get consumers to replace less efficient CFL or incandescent lights with latest LED bulbs is gaining momentum, with the number of bulbs distributed crossing the 2-crore mark and generating annual savings of over Rs 1,000 crore.

Data available with the government showed that more than 2 crore subsidized LED bulbs had been distributed under the Domestic Efficient Lighting Program till Thursday evening, helping in daily energy savings of 73 lakh units, which translates into Rs 2.9 crore a day.

With the program gaining momentum, lighting giant Philips and other companies have shown interest in setting up manufacturing facility in the country given that the scale is suddenly looking much bigger than what they had originally anticipated. The government is looking to provide 77 crore bulbs by 2018.

"Since the order was small, parts of components are being imported. But now everyone is saying we want to manufacture in India," power minister Piyush Goyal told TOI. He said an earlier skepticism is giving way to genuine interest in the Indian market.

The DELP was launched by Modi on January 5. The scheme also fits well with the Modi government's strategy for climate talks since it is helping reduce the carbon footprint as well as reducing peak power demand by close to 700 MW through lower energy consumption.

Although some of the states had been slow off the block, they are now gaining pace. Among the states, Andhra Pradesh is currently way ahead of the pack with 65 lakh bulbs, followed by Delhi at a little under 34 lakh and Uttar Pradesh at 33 lakh. Guntur in Andhra appeared to be the top performing district in the country, with 18.6 lakh LED bulbs.

Goyal said hard bargain has seen bulb prices come down from Rs 310 for a 7W bulb to Rs 73 for a 9W bulb last month with "no compromise on technical aspects, or on the qualification criteria". The government is now looking to place an order for 10 crore bulbs, the minister said.

BIG B shows his humanity and say UP government to give than amount to poors

As expected from amit ji after announcing the name of his family for Yash Bharti Awardees he has asked UP government to give that rupees to poor people. We are very pleased by this humanity shown by Amitabh ji, he has asked Uttar Pradesh government chairperson Akhilesh Yadav to distribute that 1.5 Lakh Rs between poors and needy people.Bachchan senior and Jaya were conferred UP's highest honour in 1994, while Abhishek was given the Yash Bharti Samman in 2006.
"Whereas I respect the UP Govt's honour of the Yash Bharti Award to members of my family, and their decision as per reports in the press, for providing pension of Rs 50, 000 per month to each recipient, I am requesting the UP Govt., with all humility, to redirect the entire amount designated for my family towards any noble charitable scheme or cause that benefits the poor and the needy," Bachchan senior said in a statement issued Wednesday, in response to TOI's report, that was on the front pages of across all its editions today,

Bachchan also said he will be writing to chief minister Akhilesh Yadav in this regard, separately.

Every famous person should have two type of quality one is social responsibility and another is Humanity. If a person is humble and kind he can win hearts of many people but if these quality are missing from a popular person than he will only enjoy the fame but not respect. Every one in India and outside India has respect for amit ji he has both kind of quality that touches person heart. After that when a person also add up some humanity than it is been respected and blessed.

If UP government will follow amit ji words and will distribute the money among the needy than amitji will be getting blessings of many people who have got the help due to this humanity. But if UP government will not distribute the amount government will be getting the curse but Amit ji still get the respect they have.

"Thanks BIG B for keeping our trust on you alive"

UP government to give Bachaan family Yash Bharti Award that cost aroung 1.5 lakh rupees per month

UP government is doing every possible thing to attract voters as they know there reputation and power is going to be effected in 2017 election in this series they have announced pension of 50k Rs for Big B,Jaya Bachan and Abhishek Bachan for whole life till SP is in power which is again a extra burden on the shoulders of UP people.

They name as Yash Bharti Samaan which is the highest honor that could be given in a state. Whose price is double the amount given to the freedom fighters and social workers as an award.

Now whenever the SP is in power bachaan family will get 50k pension per month. By comparing it with freedom fighters and there family they only get 20,129 Rs per month and unmarried and unemployed daughters of freedom fighters receive 4,770 a month.

This pension scheme for Yash Bharti recipient has also emerged as a most lucrative pension scheme.
A state whose per capital income is just over Rs. 40,000 should not be splurging a monthly pension to those who really not need. As this amount can be used for the unemployed and poor citizen of UP. This amount should be given to those awardees who are seriously fighting from financial situation.

Farmers that are in the terrible situation and facing the problem of draft and can't able to manage single time of food UP government should initiate some policy so that they can have one time food in a day instead of spending lakh of money in pension to those family that are known as giant families of India. Who are among the Top in the list of the richest people of India. Government can also spend this money in developing villages so that they can support in the serious problem of price rice of pearls and grains.

Big B the Bollywood giant is one of the strongest man on earth who is known world wide due to his humanity and kind nature. He is also active in following his social responsibility and has set various examples that show his activeness. Promoted Gujarat tourism without taking single penny that its self give a huge advantage to the Gujarat tourism sector without investing money in advertisement. So i personally think that Big B surely will not accept this pension as he know the condition of lower class people in UP.

UP's chief minister Akhilesh Yadav ruled out the possibility that artists, sportspersons or litterateurs will return their awards under an SP government. "Pension will be given to all recipients. The question of anyone being forced to return an award will not arise in Samajwadi regime," he said.

Daily Views of Earth Available on New NASA Website

NASA, On Monday has launched a new website
where we can see the rotating earth from our computers. These images are taken from the NASA camera one million miles from the deep space climate observatory.

This is again a tremendous work by NASA that make possible to see the area under which we are leaving from home. The site itself is a new scientific approach by NASA that are making things so easy in space that we are getting the best information from millions of mile distance.

ISRO, Indian space research organization is also performing extensively good and making there mission possible with cheap resource but covering many scientific laws of Physics which is again a good result for achieving things with scientific law rather than heavy investment and non-renewable resources. One of the Example for this technique is MARS MISSION that has been successfully launched by ISRO last year.

Once a day NASA will post at least a dozen new color images of Earth acquired from 12 to 36 hours earlier by NASA’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC). Each daily sequence of images will show the Earth as it rotates, thus revealing the whole globe over the course of a day. The new website also features an archive of EPIC images searchable by date and continent.

The primary objective of NOAA’s DSCOVR mission is to maintain the nation’s real-time solar wind monitoring capabilities, which are critical to the accuracy and lead time of space weather alerts and forecasts from NOAA. NASA has two Earth-observing instruments on the spacecraft. EPIC's images of Earth allow scientists to study daily variations over the entire globe in such features as vegetation, ozone, aerosols, and cloud height and reflectivity.

EPIC is a four megapixel CCD camera and telescope. The color Earth images are created by combining three separate single-color images to create a photographic-quality imageequivalent to a 12-megapixel camera. The camera takes a series of 10 images using different narrowband filters -- from ultraviolet to near infrared -- to produce a variety of science products. The red, green and blue channel images are used to create the color images. Each image is about 3 megabytes in size.

"The effective resolution of the DSCOVR EPIC camera is somewhere between 6.2 and 9.4 miles (10 and 15 kilometers)," said Adam Szabo, DSCOVR project scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland.

Since Earth is extremely bright in the darkness of space, EPIC has to take very short exposure images (20-100 milliseconds). The much fainter stars are not visible in the background as a result of the short exposure times.

The DSCOVR spacecraft orbits around the L1 Lagrange point directly between Earth and the sun. This orbit keeps the spacecraft near the L1 point and requires only occasional small maneuvers, but its orbit can vary from 4 to 15 degrees away from the sun-Earth line over several years.

EPIC was built by Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Technology Center, in Palo Alto, California. Using an 11.8-inch (30-centimeter) telescope and 2048 x 2048 CCD detector, EPIC measures in the ultraviolet, visible and near-infrared areas of the spectrum. The data from all 10 wavelengths are posted through a website hosted by the Atmospheric Science Data Center at NASA's Langley Research Center, Hampton, Virginia. All images are in the public domain.

NASA uses the vantage point of space to increase our understanding of our home planet, improve lives, and safeguard our future. NASA develops new ways to observe and study Earth's interconnected natural systems with long-term data records. The agency freely shares this unique knowledge and works with institutions around the world to gain new insights into how our planet is changing.

Modi ji launched this bank with a aim to give potential growth to villagers they will get some support in there risky time. This is a good initiative by central government for helping farmers and villagers to educate, employed and to support in there bad times. 3. We are starting this from Madhya Pradesh & that too an area with many tribal communities.
  4. We have decided to bring improvements in the appointments at the top levels of the banks. This improves efficiency.
  5. Bad loans in the past few years is a problem but we can’t only cry about it. We are trying to solve this problem.

Importance and Significance of Hindutva

PM Narendra Modi has been giddily globetrotting to attract capital to our shores. As long as communal disturbances don’t become chronic, foreign investors will hardly be concerned—they are bothered only about profits.

Is the recent upsurge in religiosity and cultural nationalism a threat to the development agenda on the back of which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supposedly rode to power? Is the ruling party’s Hindutva ideology distracting attention away from the economy? Is the ‘good’ BJP being held hostage by ‘bad’ fringe elements in the Sangh Parivar?

Nothing could be further from the truth. The ruling party has never made any secret that, for them, Hindutva and economic development go hand in hand. The prime minister has made no bones about his cultural nationalism, to the extent of asserting that India had extraordinarily skilled plastic surgeons in ancient times. His speeches on cow protection are legendary. But it’s not just that BJP leaders have spent decades imbibing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) ideology. There are other reasons why a religious and nationalist ideology could be a big help in the development of capitalism in India.

It is an enormous task to change a country of peasants and petty producers and traders into a modern capitalist one. True, many countries in East Asia have made the transition within a generation. But in none of them did the transformation take place under democracy. The task in India is made all the more difficult because it is a society riven by caste, linguistic, religious and cultural fissures.

The crucial ingredient for economic development is capital accumulation. England did it through the enclosure of common land and by exploiting its colonies. The erstwhile Soviet Union expropriated surpluses from the kulaks. Present-day China does it by financial and other types of repression. India has traditionally done it by promising the masses the moon and passing all kinds of pro-poor legislation, while taking little interest in their implementation and by providing sops, including cheap land and other resources, to the corporate sector. And in areas far removed from the cities, there has always been outright exploitation.

But, after decades of democracy and empowerment of the backward castes, the masses can no longer be taken for granted. Aspirations have gone up. Consider the ongoing agitations by the Jats and the Patels, two relatively well-off communities. And unlike in China, the government cannot use force to subdue them, although it is trying. Promising development is easy, but delivering growth with jobs is not. All the more so when government spending has to be kept in check, lest we attract the baleful gaze of the rating agencies. The Congress party tried to buy off the masses with sops, but that didn’t work simply because the rest of the economy went into a tailspin and inflation went through the roof. The contradiction between capital accumulation and social welfare burst out into the open.

Faced with this situation, what can the country’s ruling classes do? The masses are not enamoured of free markets. But nationalism is another matter and has been used to good effect. Consider the whipping up of nationalist passions and the invocation of Confucian values by the Chinese government in its awesome effort to label capitalism red in tooth and claw as communism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always been a great admirer of the Chinese model, rather than the Western free market one.

Religion too has often been pressed into service. The Republican Party in the US has made good use of the religious right. Vladimir Putin has an alliance with the Russian Orthodox Church. These ideologies deflect attention from economic matters and paper over class conflict. In the US, workers have been so confused by the strategy that they have been content to see their share of GDP fall over decades.

In India, the ideology of Hindutva serves that purpose. It tries to paper over the cracks between the many fissures in Indian society. It tries to meld Hindu society together by pointing to a glorious past, sullied by the advent of the ‘other’, especially the Muslim and Christian ‘other’. It denies class and caste conflict. If the ruling party cannot fulfil its promises of material benefits, at least its ideology delivers psychological gains. It gives a sense of belonging to people who are seeing their traditional world fall apart and who are losing age-old moorings in society. It taps into resentment against a snooty liberal cosmopolitan elite, who have so far enjoyed the fruits of development. And if it helps the ruling party in its bid to win a majority in both houses of Parliament and in the major states, then it can overcome some of the restraints imposed by India’s democracy. The so-called ‘fringe’ is an inseparable part of this strategy.

Not that the government is neglecting the economy. That would hardly go down well with the elite, eager to plug into global circuits of accumulation. The prime minister has been giddily globetrotting to attract capital to our shores. As long as communal disturbances don’t become chronic, foreign investors will hardly be concerned—they are bothered only about profits.

But the government is unlikely to get quick results. The world economy is not in a good shape. The export engine of growth has shut down. The domestic corporate sector is in the doldrums. The banks are in a mess. A recent Credit Suisse study showed the richest 1% in India own 53% of the nation’s wealth, while the bottom half make do with a mere 4.1%. What better way to distract attention from these realities and buy time than by going in for a spot of ideological grandstanding now. And if it helps consolidate the Hindu vote in Bihar, so much the better.

Of course, whether we must pretend, as Lord Keynes put it, “that fair is foul and foul is fair; for foul is useful and fair is not”, is another debate altogether.

SC ruling quashing NJAC a setback for parliamentary sovereignty, Ravi Shankar Prasad says

Telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said on Friday that the Supreme Court verdict quashing the National Judicial Appointments Commission(NJAC) and restoring the collegium system for appointing judges was a setback for parliamentary sovereignty.Prasad said the National Judicial Appointments Commission (NJAC) was part of judicial reforms which was exercised after deep consideration.

"In our view this exercise was done after deep consideration of more than 20 years which was part of judicial reforms. We will go through the judgment and come out with a structured response," Prasad told reporters.

Prasad was speaking after the Supreme Court struck down the constitution's 99th amendment and the NJAC Act as unconstitutional, restoring the collegium system for appointment of judges to the higher judiciary.

"We believe NJAC act would help strengthen judiciary," Prasad added.

"Various commissions headed by eminent judges, including Administrative Reforms Commission and different parliamentary committees had recommended NJAC," said the communication minister, who is a lawyer by profession and a former law minister.

"Even former chief justice JS Verma had publicly raised misgivings on the working of the collegium system and had suggested a serious think," he added.

Prasad said the NJAC bill was brought to Parliament in a "truly remarkable scenario".

"Our government brought about NJAC bill in a truly remarkable scenario in the country.

"There was complete political unanimity. The Lok Sabha passed it without a single dissent and in the Rajya Sabha there was only a single walkout.

"Twenty legislatures of the states unanimously approved it despite the continuous divide in the politics of India," he said.

Law minister D V Sadananda Gowda said the next course of action will be decided after consultations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Cabinet colleagues.

"We are surprised by the verdict of the Supreme Court," Gowda told reporters in Bengaluru.

10th annual convention of the information panel

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday inaugurate the 10th annual convention of the Central Information Commission (CIC) here, an official said. The two-day convention will have the theme of 'RTI: Outlook for the future - Trust through Transparency'.

"The annual convention is important in view of completion of one decade of enactment of the Right to Information (RTI) Act," the ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions said in a statement.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will also address the convention, where Minister of State in the PMO, Jitendra Singh, will be present.

Since its inception, the CIC has received 2,12,762 complaints and appeals, of which 1,62,504 have been disposed of in its adjudicatory role.
The right to information is not only about the right to know but also the right to question. This will increase faith in democracy.
When things go online, transparency increases automatically. Trust also increases

  1. The more governance is open, more people feel strengthened. Today I feel there is a limitation to RTI, we know of the process but not the end product, says PM Modi at the CIC convention
  2. The aim of RTI must be to bring about a positive change in governance: PM
  3. A debate should be encouraged to find out how RTIs can be used to develop the process of good governance. RTI should be used, first and foremost, to better the process of governance, says PM Modi
  4. We need to give importance to questions. When I was in Gujarat, I realised MLA's questions are very important: PM
  5. We need to focus on product as much as the process in coming future: PM Modi
  6. The more the people are empowered, more the nation is empowered: PM Modi
  7. Voting concludes in 11 Maoist-affected constituencies a 3pm.
  8. 47% voting till 2 pm in the second phase of Bihar polls.

Second Phase of voting in Bihar assembly today, real test for allies

Today, Second phase of election to be held in Bihar assembly one of the most interesting thing is that today voting covers 6 Naxal hit districts so the security will be very tight today.

Today BJP 2 small allies Upendra Kushwaha (RLSP) and Jitan Ram manjhi (HAM) has to prove there worth. In todays battle BJP is only fighting on 16 out of 32 seats so allies have to perform well to give huge fight to Mahagathbandhan.

In 2010 Assembly election of Bihar Mahagathbandhan manage to get 20 out of 32 seats whereas 12 seats are headed by present NDA in bihar. An analysis of the 2010 and 2014 results in the south-western portion of Bihar shows that if electoral arithmetic works, the Mahagathbandhan should have an edge.

In the 2010 assembly elections, allies JD(U), RJD and Congress between them got 53% of votes polled against a mere 17.7% for the BJP and Ram Vilas Paswan's LJP put together. The RLSP and HAM(S) did not yet exist.

Four years later, in 2014 LS polls, the combined vote share of the current grand alliance came down to a less imposing 47.4%. But even at that level, it was comfortably ahead of the 40.5% polled by BJP and RLSP put together.

The LJP did not contest any seat in this region and HAM(S), still did not exist.
It is another matter that because opposition to the NDA was divided in 2014, it led in 29 of the 32 segments.

Doubts about the coming together of vote bases apart, the reason this arithmetic won't seem daunting to NDA in the current polls is that part of what was JD(U) in 2014 has now broken away to form HAM(S). Itis in this part of Bihar that its influence is likely to be strongest. Manjhi himself is a candidate in this phase andseven of 20 seats his party is contesting are here.

Round 2 battle is going to be interesting factor and edge to edge fight, finally the vote percentage that will locked today will pay a key role in this battle.

Key Points of Today's Election
  1. Voting begins on 7 AM. However, it will not stretch to 5 PM as in usual circumstances. The Election Commission has decided to halt the electoral process at 3 PM in 11 constituencies and 4 PM in 12 assembly segments. Only 9 constituencies will vote till 5 PM in the evening. The decision is taken keeping in mind the threat imposed by Maoist cadres active in the region.
  2. A total of 456 candidates are contesting. But a depressing fact is that only 32 of them are women.
  3. Election Commission has marked 9,119 polling booths as active in the region and issued voter slip to 86,13.870 people.
  4. Out of the 32 seats, 7 are reserved as Schedule Caste (SC) only. They include: Mohania, Chenari, Makhdumpur, Kutumba, Imamganj, Barachatti and Bodhgaya.
Key Highlights of today's Poll:
  1. Voting for the second phase of Bihar Polls begins
  2. Polling in Jehanabad delayed due to some technical snag with EVM machines
  3. Bomb found near booth number 144 at Rafiganj in Aurangabad.
  4. Polling percentage 21% till 10 am of second phase of Bihar polls.

Humanity shown by PM Modi, saves 8-year-old Agra Muslim girl's life

This article will let you now about the humanity shown by our respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji who always focus on Sabka Sath Sabka Viaks and moreover take all religion and cast on a same platform. His thinking of fighting against poverty and corruption instead of fighting with each other is very appreciable. Some so called secular media say that he is biased for one religion but his efforts for that girl disapprove the statement of corrupt and sudo-secular media.

I am writting this article to higlight the great humanity shown by our Prime Minister which can't be done by so called secular politicians.

This is a real stroy from Agra where 8 year old girl is suffering from the serious problem which is going critical and critical and he has nothing in hand to operate his girl as the treatment for this problem is very much coastly and he has loose his hope and the time has come when he give the condolence to the family that he can't save his girl because of the financial issue. But suddenly some of his relative give him the Idea to write letter to PMO where our respectable and lovable Prime Minister sit he like the idea and written very imotional letter that describe his impotece of financial condition that he was suffering due to which he is helpless in saving his child. That letter was send to PMO with his last hope of getting success. He is not sure about this idea as secular media has made the image of Narendra Modi that he is not with muslim but he is schocked when he got reply in 2 days after he posted the letter in which he has given assurace of all possible help for his girl treatment. He is totaly amazed by seeing such humanity from our Pradhan Sevak and his hope and confidence for his girl regain back.

This is the story in the month of may which has not been publisised by the media officials as this news is related to humanity of our Prime Minister and this news can give boost to popularity among the different religion of the society so this news has not been covered.

A resident of Mantola area in Agra, Tyeba, daughter of Mohd Khalid and a student at the Anwari Nilofar School, had a defective valve in her heart and was living a difficult life. With the cost of treatment of even minor ailments becoming more and more expensive, obtaining a health insurance has become imperative for everyone who can afford it. But for 8-year-old Tyeba from Agra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proved to be the best health policy the little girl could ever buy.

Inspired by Dr Kalra's words, Tyeba wrote a touching letter to Modi, requesting his help in getting a better treatment which was beyond the financial ability of her parents. Touched by the 8-year-old's appeal, the Prime Minister's Office immediately responded to the letter and arranged for her treatment at New Delhi's GB Pant Hospital, where all the expenses incurred in her treatment will be borne by the government.  Khalid also received another letter from the Health Ministry, asking him to report to the hospital as soon as possible so that Tyeba's treatment could begin.

Talking to India Today, Khalid said it was all a dream for him. Writing a letter to Modi was the last-ditch attempt for him. To find that Modi actually took cognizance of the letter and arranged for his daughter's treatment was beyond his belief. He said that he wants his daughter to grow healthy and strong soon, so that she can continue her studies and serve other sick people by becoming a doctor herself.

Expressing pleasure at the step taken by the Prime Minister to ensure health support to Tyeba, prominent industrialist and chairman of Agra Footwear Manufacturers and Exporters Chamber, Puran Dawar, said that after a long time, India has found a compassionate prime minister who actually listens to the 'mann ki baat' of the people and acts on it. "It shows the commitment of the Prime Minister towards the welfare of poor, without any consideration of caste of religion," he said.

"If every politician in India could take a page out of the Prime Minister's book and finance the treatment of at least two underprivileged kids every year, this country will be blooming with new blood that is willing to work for the betterment of this country,"

Incident of Dadri is very unfortunate but opposition should not play politics of polarization

Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India, vision for country "Sabka-Sath-Sabka-Vikas" is taking very seriously so he don't want any distressing situation in the country. When he come to know about the Dadri Incident he is hurt by the news and said that the killing of 50 year old man in dadri and stopping the concert of Gazal Singer "Gulam Ali" is very sad. This type of things should not be repeated as this will going to fade the image of India on International ground.

He clearly state that this incident invited nationwide condemnation. He said Hindu and Muslims has to fight with poverty on the same ground why they are fighting with each other.

BJP has never supported this type of Incidents. It is the opposition that is giving fire to the incident to make there ground by polarizing people on the basis of religion.

However, there is no connection to the Centre and these issues are related to law and order and the concern of the state governments," the Prime Minister said in an interview to Anand Bazaar Patrika.

This is the first time that Prime Minister Modi has spoken not just about Dadri, but also about the events in Mumbai against Pakistan's Ghulam Ali and former Pakistan minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri.

“This type of debate has also emerged in the past. BJP has always protested against this type of pseudo-secularism. However, facing this kind of social evil today, these debate has cropped up again. With discussions this debate can be settled.”

Dadri's 50-Year-old Akhlak is dragged out by 200 people and beaten to death only after getting the news from the loudspeaker of cow slaughtering and eating it. Concerned over communal incidents in Dadri and other places, the Centre had last week asked all states to take strict action against those who attempt to weaken the secular fabric of the country by exploiting religious emotions.

BJP leaders like "Mahesh Sharma, Sanjeev Baliyan and Sangeet Som ji" have visit dadri and give condolence to the family but the oppposition has made it political agenda and tried to stop Bhai Sangeet Som to reach the venue. But none of the political agenda has able to stop him.

One in 13 world cancer patients is Indian: US study

The National Cancer Institute (NCI), a unit of US Department of Health and Human Services (USDHHS), has observed that India shares a large proportion of the global cancer burden, with rising mortality rates. The situation can improve with dissemination of scientific information among the general populace, claimed NCI officials.

India has around 1.8 million people suffering from cancer, with patients of breast, cervical and oral cancers topping the list. Every 13th new cancer patient in the world is an Indian. The NCI has organised a two-day international workshop for scientific journalism, aimed at media professionals, in association with Public Health Foundation of India and Institute of Cytology and Preventive Oncology (ICPO), Noida, on October 12 and 13. This is NCI's first such workshop in South Asia. Earlier, the institute had organised similar workshops in Brazil (2010), Mexico (2011), China (2012), Argentina (2012) and Puerto Rico (2013).

Preetha Rajaraman, programme director, NCI (South Asia), said there is need for global co-ordination to defeat cancer. "Every 13th new cancer patient in the world is an Indian. India has a huge capacity and strong media network. The aim is to train journalists so they can convey accurate messages to the public about prevention and treatment," Rajaraman said.

Peter F Garrett, director, NCI office of communications and public liaison (OCPL), said the workshop aims to strengthen understanding about various facts of cancer among the media community. "Media is a tool which can bridge the gap between medical practitioners and citizens. The workshop aims to enhance a journalist's understanding of cancer, and their ability to share this information with the public," Garrett said. NCI invited 30 journalists from print and electronic media to join the programme.

Dr Ravi Mehrotra, director, ICPO said tackling cancer is a serious challenge in India, as around 70-80% patients visit doctors when it is too late. "We feel preventive action is an essential for beating cancer," Mehrotra said.

Experts also observed there is immediate need of skilled manpower and many more cancer treatment centres. There are only 412 medical colleges in the country. There are also only 347 teletherapy units - where patients are treated using radiation - in the country, against a need of 1,059.

There is also need to increase expenditure on public healthcare, as India lags behind even Afghanistan on this count, said Dr Mehrotra.
